Here are answers to questions about setup and how functions work together. Start with the section that fits your situation; the links go straight to the relevant settings.
Where to start
- Check that the relevant button on the function bar is enabled and the global pause is off.
- Open that function's settings: check the relevant row checkboxes, selected mode, and completed fields.
- If several functions control the target, examine them one at a time. For example, active assist or holding with Shift can change the expected selection order.
Interface visibility and active automation are separate settings: displaying the radar alone does not enable combat functions. The main bar is described in Getting to know ZeusR.
If the Noblesse check is enabled and your character has the skill, ZeusR first maintains the buff on your character before continuing automatic combat.
Target and interface
The target is visible, but Auto Target does not select it. Check the operating range and angle, zone mode, friends and enemies, active priority profile, and enabled restrictions. A player visible on the map is not necessarily eligible for automatic selection. Open Auto Target settings.
The radar does not respond to clicks. If click-through is enabled, hold Alt to interact with ZeusR. The switch is in general settings.
A different target returns after manual selection. Check whether Target Inspector is enabled, the active assist leader, and other target selection functions. For temporary manual focus, configure holding with Shift and select the required blocks.
Inspector did not return to its previous focus after a pause. The global pause resets Inspector's remembered target. Unpause and set the desired focus again using the method for the selected Inspector mode.
Operation paused after teleporting. Check whether “Auto pause after teleport” is enabled in general settings. If it is enabled, use the assigned hotkey to clear the global pause when you are ready to continue.
Next Target does not switch targets on a timer. Selecting Auto mode alone does not start cycling; press its hotkey. Also check the normal cycling checkbox, Next Target button, delay, and Shift hold settings. Read about manual and automatic cycling.
A player's color changed, or they are missing from the list. Check ZR Style, category visibility in the radar lists and the active clan focus in Priorities.
Skills, assist, and notifications
An assist leader is skipped. Make sure their row is checked, the list order is correct, and both the leader and their target meet the range restrictions. Then check whether dead targets are allowed, skipping under aggro, and party buff conditions. All settings are in Auto Assist.
Reskill selects a target but does not use a skill. Check “Use skills”, the relevant row's checkbox, the skill's availability, and its range. Action settings are in the Reskill skill list.
Breaker selected the enemy, but no response skill was used. In Target always mode, selecting a target does not mean the response is ready and within range. Check your response's readiness and range, and whether the monitored cast is still in progress. See the Solar Flare example in Breaker modes and ranges.
Smart Combat does not perform an action. Check the function button, group, action, and condition checkboxes, group activation rule, activation type, target mode, categories, and delays. In Hotkey mode, press the shortcut assigned to that specific action. Start with target selection and activation.
Healing in Smart Combat depends on my character's health. User %HP applies to you. For the recipient's health, use Object %HP; during a search, it checks each eligible candidate. Leave Cast on self disabled to heal the ally found. Open Smart Combat conditions or the party healing example.
There is no notification message or sound. Missing-buff notifications have their own checkboxes for the current target and all enemies. Check the relevant channel, class restriction, and range, then separately enable the message or sound. The T button tests the message's appearance, while the play button tests the selected sound file and volume. Read about Reskill notifications.
Saving and hotkeys
The latest changes are missing after restarting. Make sure you clicked the save button to the right of the main configuration name, then loaded that same set. Selecting another existing name immediately loads its settings. Follow the steps for saving and switching.
Smart Combat has a different action list after switching configurations. Smart Combat has its own set selection, remembered in the main configuration. Check both names and save the combination you want. See the explanation of shared data and separate sets.
I switched the main set, but the appearance stayed the same. The library, ZR Style, and priority profiles are shared. Changing the main name does not restore their previous versions. Open the shared set you need and select or configure it separately.
A hotkey does not perform the expected action. Check its current assignment, whether the function is enabled, and the selected mode, then return to the game window. Check whether the same shortcut is assigned to another ZeusR action or to the game. Find the assignments in control hotkeys.
Smart Combat and Auto Assist have several hotkey fields. The global hotkey toggles the corresponding function. In Smart Combat, a separate shortcut belongs to an individual action; in Auto Assist, the request hotkey takes the leader's target in “By hotkey” mode. These assignments are described in Smart Combat and Auto Assist.
